Exterior Pre-Listing Checklist

Overall Exterior Tip

☐ 99.9% of the time, wetting the concrete is NOT a good idea.

Front Of Home

☐ Remove vehicles from driveway, curb in front of home, and any cars on cement blocks in the front grass area.

☐ Keep yard watered in the days/weeks prior to photos. Life and color shows well in photos. Consider adding flowers or plants as a staging element.

☐ Remove hoses and other uneccesary items and hide in the garage.

☐ Complete any yardwork and clean-up projects that are currently in progress at least two days before photos. Projects tend to take longer than expected, so give yourself an extra day to make sure everything is completed.

☐ If the front walkway has room, consider adding fresh flowers.

☐ Replace an old welcome mat with a new one.

☐ Dust for spider webs and rinse any dirt or chalk off the sidewalk.

HIDE TRASHCANS. If photo day happens to also be trash day (and it always is), coordinate with your neighbors to place your bins in front of their home for pick up.

Backyard

☐ Pick up the poop. Dog, cat, cow, rhino, t-rex. All of it. Seriously. If you do nothing else, do this.

☐ Hide kid and dog toys.

☐ Remove hoses and other uneccesary items and hide in the garage.

☐ Remove pool vacuum and clean leaves and other debris from the water.

☐ Open umbrellas as long as it doesn’t obstruct any views.
